Lazar Tomov is one of the founding partners of Tomov & Tomov.
He practices in the fields of litigation and arbitration, complex commercial, corporate and financial transactions, European Union Law, and Public International Law.
He has represented Bulgarian and foreign clients as counsel in numerous arbitration and litigation proceedings.He also has served as expert witness on points of Bulgarian law in international arbitrations and litigations.
Lazar Tomov is listed as an arbitrator with the Arbitration Court of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce. He has been appointed as co-arbitrator or presiding arbitrator in more than 50 cases.
Lazar Tomov lectured in International Business Law and International Litigation in the Faculty of Law of New Bulgarian University, Sofia.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University St. Clement of Ohrid, Sofia, with a diploma in law with distinction. He received a LL.M. degree in International Business Law (magna cum laude) from the Faculty of Law of the Katholike Universiteit, Leuven, Belgium. He also studied international and comparative law at the Academy of American and International Law, Dallas, USA, and European Union Law at the Academy of European Law, Florence, Italy, and international arbitration and international financial law at Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London, United Kingdom.
Lazar Tomov is admitted to the Bulgarian Bar Association. He is also a member of the International Bar Association.
Lazar Tomov is a co-author of the chapter about Bulgaria in Getting the Deal Through – Arbitration (ed. 2009, 2010 and 2011), and in Global Arbitration Review Reference (online edition 2011).
